SIGETA StarQuest 102/700 HD Air-Spaced Alt-AZ is a premium-class refractor with a High Definition anti-reflective achromatic objective manufactured using modern air-spaced technology instead of traditional cemented construction. This design increases contrast, minimizes internal reflections, and ensures long-term durability of the optical system. With this telescope, captivating details of the Moon, Solar System planets, nebulae, star clusters, and distant galaxies are revealed. The model has everything necessary for quick deployment, pointing, and smooth tracking of celestial bodies, while the refractor design is also suitable for terrestrial observations.

The 102 mm aperture at 700 mm focal length (f/6.9 focal ratio) offers an optimal balance between light-gathering power and field of view. The theoretical resolution of 1.14 arc seconds allows resolving close double stars and observing planetary details, while the limiting stellar magnitude of 12.1 provides access to a large number of celestial objects. Light-gathering power 294 times greater than the naked eye makes the telescope an effective instrument for bright nebulae and galaxies.

Available observation targets include: the Moon with its craters, mountain ranges, and maria; Solar System planets with visible details and phases; double and multiple star systems; bright nebulae and galaxies; comets and asteroids; as well as terrestrial objects during daytime observation — all easily observable with this telescope.

The retractable dew shield on the front of the tube protects the lens from condensation, reduces lateral light pollution from urban lighting, protects the objective from mechanical damage, while simultaneously increasing image contrast.

The SIGETA StarQuest 102/700 HD Air-Spaced Alt-AZ telescope comes with two 1.25" (31.7 mm) eyepieces: Kellner 25 mm for wide field and low magnifications (28x) and Plössl 10 mm for medium magnifications (70x). The 3x Barlow lens provides additional magnifications of 84x and 210x for detailed observation of planets and double stars.

The 2-inch Crayford focuser with 1.25" adapter ensures smooth focusing and compatibility with a wide range of eyepieces. The alt-azimuth mount with slow-motion controls on both axes allows precise pointing and smooth tracking of celestial objects. For quick targeting, a Red Dot collimator finder is provided. The tube body is made of aluminum alloy with glossy pearlescent finish and features dovetail mounting, allowing future installation on professional equatorial or computerized GoTo mounts.
