To the category: Telescopes / Reflectors
The ME-150 150/750 EQ3 is a member of the Newton reflector family and is sure to be the right choice for both amateur astronomers and experienced astronomers as well. The model can confidently be called universal: the telescope easily handles observing Dipsky objects, planets and the surface of the Moon. The included eyepieces give you 30x (25 mm) and 115x (6.5 mm) magnification, and with the Barlow lens, 56x and 215x respectively. You can optionally supplement the telescope with powerful eyepieces to achieve 270x magnification or even more, but the maximum usable magnification is 150*1.8.
The ME-150 telescope comes with the EQ3 equatorial mount. This rather light but firm mount will simplify star navigation, but will require focus during the previous adjustments (the whole process is described in detail in the manual).
The EQ3 mount has two counterweights for stable telescope balance and slow motion knobs - it provides the most accurate approach to the object of interest. If you want to do astrophotography, you should buy a T-ring for your camera model or a universal photo adapter.
Tube alignment of this telescope is accomplished in a standard way using screws on the backs of the primary and secondary mirrors. Before using the telescope, you MUST check that the adjustments are correct otherwise the image is unlikely to be clear.
