SIGETA Dorado II 70/700 AZ is the second iteration of one of the most popular telescopes from the SIGETA brand, now supplied with a smartphone adapter as well as educational Moon and Solar System planet maps. This is a compact and lightweight achromatic refractor of entry level, ideally suited as a first telescope for astronomical and terrestrial observations. The 70 mm aperture and 700 mm focal length provide an f/10 focal ratio, which is typical for beginner telescopes. The objective lenses are coated with anti-reflective coating in blue-violet tones, which reduces glare and improves image contrast. The telescope allows you to enjoy exploring large craters, maria, and mountain ranges on the Moon, identify Jupiter's moons, observe discs of bright planets — Venus, Jupiter, and Mars, see Saturn's rings as small arcs, track the brightest comets, as well as observe some deep space objects.

The presence of a smartphone adapter allows capturing what you see through the telescope using your phone's camera. Simply attach the camera to the eyepiece using the adapter, and you can photograph or record videos of favorite objects to later share with friends and family.

The telescope comes with three eyepieces: SR 4 mm, H 12.5 mm, and H 20 mm, providing magnifications of 175x, 56x, and 35x. To expand optical capabilities, a Barlow lens is included that doubles the focal length and accordingly increases magnification by 2 times. The diagonal mirror facilitates comfortable observation of objects located high above the horizon without the need to tilt your head back. Thanks to the erecting lens, the telescope forms a completely upright image, making it ideal for terrestrial observations. Additionally, it allows obtaining additional magnifications — 53x, 84x, and 263x. For quick and accurate object targeting, an optical 5x24 finder is used.

The optical tube of the SIGETA Dorado II 70/700 AZ telescope is mounted on a simple azimuth mount with intuitive control. The aluminum tripod with height-adjustable legs is equipped with a plastic accessory tray.
