#65245 – Microscope SIGETA SMARTY 80x-200x

Smarty 80x-200x is an accessible school-level biomicroscope. During the development of this model, the designers aimed to simplify it as much as possible, maintaining proper image quality. There is nothing extraneous in the construction of this "smarty": instead of a revolver, a uniframe with an objective lens is installed, instead of an electric lighting system - an ordinary mirror, not requiring any power supply.

The SIGETA Smarty 80x-200x microscope is supplied in a set with two eyepieces and one 16x objective lens: in this configuration the instrument can be used at a magnification of 80x and 200x. Crucially, the threaded lens socket is compatible with all DIN-standard lenses, so it will be feasible to replace the lens with a corresponding lens of a higher level of aberration correction eventually.

The focusing mechanism of the Smarty microscope can be adjusted only with a coarse focus, but is characterised by smooth running and an ample scope of action range (3 cm). The objective table is stationary: the focus adjustment is done by moving the optical unit.

A key feature of this model is the ability to tilt the base plate together with the eyepiece tube and objective table Various positions of the eyepiece can be chosen to meet the needs of observers of all body heights. The moving components of the instrument body and internal elements are made of metal: treated carefully, it is guaranteed to operate for a considerable number of years.

SIGETA Smarty does not require fastidious conditions or any special illumination: its flat and concave mirror surfaces enable it to catch the light beam and focus it on the observed object in almost any situation.

Its low weight and power independence are important benefits for school microscopes: this device is ideal for taking to class or to the outdoors, to friends or grandmother for school holidays.
