#65244 – Microscope SIGETA PRIZE NOVUM 20x-1280x with 2Mp camera (with case)

The PRIZE NOVUM 20x-1280x with 2Mp camera ( in carrying case) is not just a learning monocular microscope with USB camera but also an entire microscopic research kit. Together with broad field oculars (5x, 16x) and objectives with glass lenses (4x, 10x, 40x) the set includes the Barlow lens which enables the microscope to reach magnifications up to 1280x.

NOTE: Do not use a Barlow lens simultaneously with the camera therefore the maximum magnification of the microscope is 640x in microscopic mode.

Using a digital eyepiece connected to a computer via USB port, the microscope image can be easily displayed on a large screen for a whole group of people or even an educational audience viewing the experiment. The 2 Mp camera resolution allows the creation of high-quality digital images which can be edited and shared online. When using the SIGETA PRIZE NOVUM with 2MP camera, the specimen can be illuminated with transmitted, reflected and mixed light. The upper and lower LED lights can be activated simultaneously or alternately; the intensity of each can be controlled with a separate wheel on the side of the unit. Due to the upper lamp, even non-transparent objects such as leaves, pieces of cloth or paper, stamps, banknotes, etc. can be observed under the microscope. Because of the low power consumption of LEDs the microscope can function not only from the mains but also in an autonomous mode with two standard AA batteries.

The objective table with dimensions 9 x 9.6 cm is equipped with a specimen mover containing a coordinate vernier: the scale fixed on the movable elements of the slides is used for visual measurement of microdistances. An orifice plate with 6 apertures of different sizes (5 with light filters) is fixed underneath the table top. The focusing mechanism is smooth-running and has a reasonable vertical movement range of 11mm. Bringing it into focus, even with a 40x lens, won't be much of a problem.

Beyond the optics, the "prize"" set is also packed with preparation tools, prepared slides and consumables. All these items are packed into a sturdy plastic carrying case.
