The PRIZE NOVUM 20x-1280x with 0.3 Mp camera (carrying case) is a stylish and highly functional training microscope that can be a wonderful gift for a teenager or even a first-grader. The 0.3Mp camera eyepiece enables the users to view the results of their experiments on a PC monitor and offers practice in taking microphotos and videos of microorganisms.
The microscope is equipped with a selection of optical glass objective lenses as well as a Barlow lens and a pair of broadfield eyepieces of different magnifications. The maximum magnification is 640x in camera mode and up to 1280x in visual observation mode (with the Barlow lens smoothly increasing the magnification of the microscope up to 1-2 times).
The SIGETA PRIZE NOVUM 20x-1280x backlight system can be powered either from the mains or from replaceable batteries. The upper and lower LED illuminators can be used together or individually, each with adjustable intensity.
The spacious 9 x 9.6 cm objective table is equipped with micrometric slide calipers smoothly moving the slide along and into the table top. Underneath the objective table there is an orifice plate with 6 apertures, 5 of which are covered with coloured filters.
The focussing device is fine-pitch and smooth-running, so bringing into focus will not be a problem for schoolchildren. The focus knobs are on either side of the body and the eyepiece end rotates freely sideways in all directions. As a consequence, the microscope can be used jointly by schoolmates or family members around the same table, for example.
Despite the "unconventional" bottle shape, the PRIZE NOVUM 20x-1280x with 0.3 Mp camera is a fundamental instrument for the examination of specimens in transmitted, reflected and mixed light. Moreover, it is delivered in a stylish hard carrying case, along with slide making accessories and consumables.
