SIGETA NEXOR is a modern next-generation digital microscope offering magnification range from 80x to 800x. The model features a large 7-inch LCD screen with IPS matrix, dual LED illumination with brightness control, USB Type-C port, and Wi-Fi module for connection to PC or smartphone.
The eyepiece is replaced by a built-in digital camera with 2 MP resolution (interpolation up to 8 MP). The camera's optical magnification is 20x, while digital zoom (without detail enhancement) operates in the 1x–3x range with gradual adjustment in 30 steps. Three achromatic objectives with magnifications of 4x, 10x, and 40x are mounted in the revolving turret. Thus, optical magnification is 80x, 200x, and 800x, and with digital zoom up to 2400x.
Images are displayed on a 7" color IPS display that ensures accurate color reproduction and wide viewing angles. The microscope allows not only specimen observation but also photography and video recording, storing materials on a TF memory card up to 64 GB (not included).
The control panel is located on the upper part of the base and contains two rotary-push and four classic buttons. The first multifunctional button controls illumination source selection (bottom for transparent specimens, top for opaque ones) and brightness adjustment. The second controls navigation, selection confirmation, digital magnification, and Wi-Fi activation. Other buttons are for photo and video capture, viewing saved materials, entering settings menu, and file management. A brief control guide is printed directly on the body, below the screen. Power button, operation and charging indicators, and USB Type-C port are located at the back, while the memory card slot is on the left side of the body.
Objects are placed on the stage with clips for fixation. Below the stage is a disc diaphragm with six apertures of different diameters for regulating light flow from bottom illumination. Focus is adjusted using bilateral coarse focusing knobs that rotate smoothly without jerking; the textured surface prevents finger slipping.
The microscope can be powered from 220V mains through an adapter or from the included 18650 battery. In autonomous mode, the device operates up to 3 hours.
PC connection via USB cable allows downloading files from the memory card or working with StrangeView (Windows) and HiView (Mac) software. The software provides real-time viewing, photo and video capture, annotation and commenting, as well as measurement and calculation of object geometric parameters. Wireless connection to Android or iOS smartphones or tablets is also available through the T OX app, enabling image streaming, capture, and material storage directly to mobile devices.
The SIGETA NEXOR microscope comes in a sturdy textile case with handle, containing a molded foam insert for reliable storage and transportation. The package includes prepared microscope slides, blank and cover glass slides, tools and materials for specimen preparation, battery, power adapter, and USB cable.
