The MB-207 40x-1000x LED Bino is a robust laboratory microscope with achromatic lenses and eyepieces, a two-stage focusing system, LED illumination and a mechanised slide. It''s hard to decide whether the quality of the optics, the precision of the mechanics or the illumination capabilities are the model's greatest assets.

The microscope kit includes 4 achromatic paphorical objectives and a pair of Kellner eyepieces with anti-reflective coating. The glasses are three-element, consisting of a lens doublet and a biconvex field lens: this arrangement allows the eyepiece to magnify the image constructed by the objective lens without adding chromatic distortion to it. The microscope's field of view, even at 1000x magnification, is quite comfortable for long-term studies.

The Sigeta MB-207 40x-1000x microscope eyepiece head can be freely rotated in any direction and can be loosened or strengthened with a clamping screw. The binocular's centre distance can be adjusted by shifting the eyepiece tubes, which rotate around a common base shaft, from 4.8 to 7.5cm.

All instrument controls (focus wheels, mechanical caliper handles, condenser adjustment screw, binocular alignment system) are instantly responsive to touch, rotate smoothly and lock into the selected position clearly. A 0-400 micron scale on the rim of the microscope handle allows for easy focusing. The sliding elements of the stage are fitted with vernier elements ensuring accurate micrometric centring of the specimen under the objective.

An adjustable stoplight condenser is mounted beneath the specimen stage, and its aperture number, N.A. 1.25, corresponds to the n.a. of a 100X objective. Hence, even when working with immersion, adjusting the lighting system will maximise image quality.

The powerful LED lighting is constructed using state-of-the-art S-LED technology. The illuminator is equipped with a dimmer that enables infinitely variable control of illumination intensity. The LEDs are powered in two ways: by a household power supply and by a built-in rechargeable battery. With this microscope requirements for arrangement of the workplace are greatly simplified, because you do not necessarily have access to a socket or a source of bright outdoor lighting.
