MB-205 40x-1600x LED Bino - a binocular biological microscope for the study of translucent preparations in transmitted light. It offers 8 operating modes of magnification ranging from 40x to 1600x. This optic is used in diagnostic and research centres, laboratories of higher and secondary educational institutions. Main characteristics of this model are high resolution and stable image quality with any lens and eyepices in the set.
The SIGETA MB-205 kit contains 2 pairs of eyepieces and 4 achromatic lenses with magnifications of 4x, 10x, 40x, 100x. Besides removing chromatic aberration, partially corrected spherical aberration and coma in the optical scheme of the lenses. The frontal surfaces of the powerful lenses have a spring frame: it protects the preparations glasses from being crushed during focusing.
The binocular head of the microscope rotates freely around the vertical axis so that the specimen under study can be shown to several persons without moving the microscope.
Positioning the specimen precisely in the centre of the platform is assisted by micrometric calipers with a glass stop and an auxiliary nonius scale. Sharpness is brought into focus by smooth raising of the stage. The focus unit comprises two oversized coaxial wheels - easy to find and rotate by touch without taking your eyes off the eyepieces.
The light source in the MB-205 40x-1600x LED Bino binocular microscope is a 1 W LED lamp located inside the manifold housing. The dimmer wheel ( brightness regulator) is located on the side of the stand.
A large numerical aperture condenser (=1.25) allows the image contrast adjustment with any lens, including a 100x immersion lens. Special screws are provided to change the vertical position of the condenser and centre it in relation to the optical axis.
Supplied filters are available when working with slightly coloured preparations, while green and yellow filters are useful for minimising spherical aberration.
