MB-202 40x-1600x LED Bino - research light microscope intended for use in medical and research laboratories, higher and secondary educational institutions. It has 8 magnifications, ranging from 40x-1600x and is suitable for bacteriological and mycological investigations.
The model includes 4 high-resolution achromatic lenses and two pairs of wide-field glasses. The optical surfaces of the spectacle lenses are coated with a violet coloured multi-coated lens.
Image sharpness is controlled by vertical movement of the stage. The sharpening mechanism control unit consists of two coaxial focusing wheels - coarse and fine focus knobs.
For long zoom operations it is difficult to place the specimen accurately in the field of view of the objective - this is handled by the micrometric calipers with their auxiliary vernier scale. Control of the slide movement along both horizontal axes is also realised by the coaxial handles. Most mechanical adjustments can thus be accomplished by touching the slide while looking through the eyepiece for control.
The illumination source of the SIGETA MB-202 microscope is a 1W LED lamp. The light spot image is projected by a manifold located above the lamp precisely into the aperture plane of the condenser. The optical system of the two-lens collector is free of spherical aberration.
The N.A. 1.25 condenser features an aperture diaphragm with blades forming almost a spherical opening. The distance from the front lens of the condenser to the slide changes by turning a special screw. The condenser position and aperture opening can be adjusted for maximum contrast and optimal image brightness. Three light filters are included for colour balance correction when working with stained preparations.
