MB-103 40x-1600x LED Mono - monochrome laboratory microscope with achromatic optics for the examination of biological preparations in transmitted light. Designed for educational, medical and scientific institutions of all levels; generates high-quality images at low (from 40x) and high (up to 1600x) magnifications.
Illumination system of the microscope SIGETA MB-103 comprises smoke LED lamp, two-lens manifold and large aperture condenser with iris diaphragm; between manifold and condenser is installed a holder for filters. N.A. of the condenser is 1.25, allowing to work comfortably with immersion at maximum magnification.
The MB-103 includes a set of achromatic lenses - three dry 4x, 10x, 40x(s) and an immersion 100x(s, oil) lens. The symbol (s) in the marking of the high-performance lenses indicates that the front lens is protected by a spring-loaded metal frame: due to the spring, excessive pressure during focus adjustment will not harm either the lens or the cover glass. The nosepiece head with 4 lenses is oriented inwards: in this position, inactive lenses do not interfere with slide inspection or slide replacement.
The MB-103 is supplied with a pair of wide-field glasses (10x/18mm and 16x/13mm), assembled in an achromatic Kelner pattern. The optical surfaces of the eyepieces and lenses are coated with a special coating which improves light transmission.
The slide platform is equipped with micrometric slide calipers with coordinate verniers for accurate positioning of the slide in the focus of the lens. The mechanical slide movement range is 72x30mm with a 125x115mm table top. The micrometer calipers are controlled by the coaxial knobs on the right side of the body.
Image sharpness is controlled by moving the slide: the correct height is set by adjusting the macro and micro screw mechanisms. The MB-103 microscope focusing unit is bilateral, consisting of two pairs of large coaxial focusing wheels (coarse and fine) which can be operated with either the right or left hand. The distance between the condenser and the stage is also adjusted manually without any tools, which makes the Köhler light setting much easier.
Although this model is designed for work in the light field, it can be complemented with accessories allowing the use of other optical microscopy techniques, if required.
