SIGETA BIONIC 64x-640x is a school biological laboratory microscope offering a variety of functions, high-quality features and a choice of valuable accesories. The set of this monocular model is equipped with all necessary items needed for the initial investigation of the microscopic world: dissecting tools, stains and dilutions, ready-to-use slides and object-plates. One of the main advantages of the BIONIC is the possibility of autonomous use from batteries or permanent running from the electricity grid.
Two types of LED illumination - transmitted and reflected light - are available to inspect transparent specimens and the surfaces of small, flat objects such as coins, plant leaves, etc. under the microscope. Both upper and lower illuminators function only alternately; the brightness of each is dimmable with a handle in the microscope stand. The LED bulbs do not get warm, do not flicker and are frugal while consuming battery charge.
The basic SIGETA BIONIC microscope kit includes 3 4x, 10x, 40x objective lenses and a 16x wide-field eyepiece. The maximum working magnification (640x) is attained while using the most powerful 40x objective. In conjunction with the other two lenses, 64x and 160x magnification are available. The eyepiece included in the kit has a normal bore diameter, so it is possible to replace it with a 20x zoom magnifying lens if desired: this will increase the general magnification of the optics.
The picture is brought into focus by changing the height of the objective table, whereby not only coarse but also fine focusing is possible - which is essential for working at high magnifications. The control knobs for the focus mechanism are located on either side of the body: equally convenient for right-handed or left-handed users.
The objective platform is wide enough to be equipped with micrometric calipers for moving the slide across the surface of the table in both directions. The calipers are controlled by turning screws located at approximately 2.5 cm from one another. A 0.65 NA condenser lens is insalled straight into the centre of the platform and a disc aperture with holes of different diameters and coloured filters is fixed underneath the table top. By installing one of the correctional filters on the optical axis, the colour reproduction can be upgraded and maximum contrast can be achieved when working with painted samples.
The SIGETA BIONIC monocular microscope is wrapped in a colorsome glossy cardboard box with readable inscription. This model is a splendid gift for your own child or a friends' little ones. A microscope presented on the occasion of September 1 or other memorable dates can inspire and nourish an interest in biology not only among children, but also the whole family!
