The SIGETA iMeter LF600A is a multifunctional laser rangefinder for measuring linear and angular characteristics at medium distances. Unlike many affordable models, it is not powered by batteries but by an integrated 3.7V/800mAh battery. It also has the function of detecting the speed of objects (the longer the working range, the more difficult the speed test is to realise). The antifog coating of the lens has moisture-repellent properties, which ensures high-quality measurements under temperature changes.
Range limit for accurate measurements (600m) is calculated when scanning moderately reflective objects such as painted walls etc. However, remote surfaces which reflect light well (e.g. road signs) can also be determined with acceptable accuracy at greater distances. The only condition necessary for working on the verge of distance is that the surface of the examined object must be flat, with dimensions of at least 2x2m.
Besides measuring the "real" distance to the target (along an inclined one), the SIGETA iMeter LF600A is able to determine the angle of inclination and the "horizontal distance" as well as the height of objects and their speed of movement.
The electronics of the device are operated by two buttons. Discrete measurements are done immediately by pressing the power button, while continuous scanning is activated by pressing and holding (> 2s) the same button. The Mode Button is responsible for switching between operating modes.
Please note that the device will not need to be switched off manually: the electronics is set to switch off automatically after 10 seconds after the last interaction.
