To the category: Digital cameras
M3CMOS 18000 is a digital eyepiece camera with a resolution of 18 megapixels, the highest in the SIGETA range. It works with biological, repair and metallurgical microscopes. Registers radiation with a wavelength from the border of the ultraviolet spectrum to the middle of the red range (the long-wavelength part limits the protective infrared filter). The photo sensor sensitivity is 0.62V/μs, very good value for a detector with 18 million individual cells (pixels).
But high sensitivity and a fantastic sensor resolution are far from a complete list of advantages of the M3CMOS 18000 18Mp. The ultra-efficient connectivity of this device is ensured by a modern USB 3.0 connection with data rate of up to 5 Gb/s. The camera is able to capture photos and videos at speeds of up to 32 FPS, realistically reproduce colours and chiaroscuro.
The SIGETA M3CMOS 18000 digital eyepiece sensor has a physical size of 6.14 x 4.61 mm and features square photosensitive pixels with a 1.25 μm side. The maximum image size is 4912 x 3684 px, the minimum ( with binning 4x4) is 1228 x 922. Exposure time is controlled by an automatic electronic shutter and the adjustment range of 0.1ms-2s is the widest for digital CMOS eyepieces. The device with such parameters, in a robust housing protecting the electronics against humidity and extreme temperatures, is indispensable for the documenting processes in industrial and laboratory microscopy.
It should be noted that high-end cameras are very demanding on the quality of the microscope which forms the initial image. Installing M3CMOS 18000 18Mp on a teaching microscope with a non-achromatic lens, for example, means that you will not experience the full potential of this model. Using a professional microscope with carefully controlled backlighting, however, the camera will show you natural colour, ideal clarity and sharpness.
USB camera SIGETA M3CMOS 18000 18MP functions with one of the most popular microscopy software, ToupView: The CD with this software is included in the kit. In addition to the CD and USB cable, the set includes a calibration slide for micrometric measurements and adapters 23.2 mm to 30 mm and 30.5 mm for mounting the zoom head on a wide eyepiece tube.
All housing details are smoothly shaped and made from a solid aluminium-zinc alloy. The instrument will be serviceable for long periods of time when operated correctly.
