#65676 – Digital microscope camera SIGETA M3CMOS 14000 14Mp USB3.0

USB camera with 14 megapixel resolution for digital images from the microscope and video recordings of the microscopic investigations. It is fitted into the eyepiece tube of a mono/binocular microscope head or the vertical optical port of a trinocular microscope. The M3CMOS 14000 model features one of SIGETA's highest performing CMOS cameras: at the maximum resolution it offers approximately 6 FPS and with a 3x3 binning up to 53 FPS (depending on PC). The high-performance camera supports USB 3.0 Super-Speed transfer interface (up to 5 Gbps).

The M3CMOS 14000 CMOS digital camera matrix is engineered by one of the industries leaders Aptina Corporation (owned by ON_Semiconductor). Featuring a sensor measuring 5.7 x 4.6 mm with 14 million 1.4 μm cells, the sensor's overall sensitivity and useful/non-useful signal ratio are relatively high at 0.72Volc/s and 35.5dB respectively. Time exposure is controlled by the ERS instant shutter, the minimum shutter speed for this model is 0.4ms.

The camera potential of the SIGETA M3CMOS 14000 14MP corresponds to the capabilities of most laboratory and instrument microscopes; the model has no particular demands on the PC operating system and processing power. The model operates with the multifunctional image capture and processing software, in particular the freeware ToupView. (For the user's convenience, a CD with software is already in the kit.) Besides editing and saving photos, micrometric measurement functions and configuration of camera parameters are also accessible from the ToupView interface.

All the mechanically-exposed housing parts are constructed from a robust aluminium-zinc alloy. The camera is designed to operate in high humidity and at extreme temperatures, as long as it has been stored in a dry, ventilated area. Nevertheless, please be aware that overheating leads to a significant excessive noise in the picture: in this case, it is better to leave the camera until temperature equalization.
