Grace ED binoculars are modern, high-quality optical instruments featuring advanced technology. The prismatic blocks of the binoculars are manufactured from BAK4 glass (with a high refractive index) ensuring a circular exit pupil and an evenly illuminated field of view. All the optical surfaces of the instruments are fully multi-coated and some of the individual facets of the rotating system are coated with phase correction for maximum image sharpness and contrast.
Thanks to the use of low-dispersion ED glass in the lenses, the Grace ED optics produce a full-colour and realistic image without optical distortion.
The Sigeta Grace ED 8x42 binoculars have a relatively wide field of view - 142 m/km at 8x magnification - and practically no aberration is noticed right up to the edge of the field of view. Despite the binocular's moderate power of approach, the optical quality enables a detailed view of objects more than 3km from the observer.
The binoculars' graceful housing is made from a magnesium alloy: this explains its strength, lightness and durability. They are ergonomically designed with finger recesses for comfortable grip in any position and their perfectly balanced Open Hinge design makes them appear much lighter at 745g.
The binoculars are completely water-resistant and can function even in the most severe conditions - for example, after a 5-minute dive to a depth of 1m. The tubes are nitrogen-filled inside preventing the optics from fogging up from the inside. Materials and construction quality of the Sigeta Grace ED Grace matches the high status of this model.
